Agreed, they do look idiotic. I don’t think Emma’s a very good model, her expressions are all the same. She doens’t sell the clothes.
It’s weird to me that she’s doing these photoshoots but she doesn’t have a movie to promote, most actresses don’t do that.
Whilst I like seeing pictures of Emma, she should be careful as she may suffer from over-exposure.

harper’s bazaar is known to create ethereal fashion shots, and the theme is hogwarts so it is going to be photoshopped. You can’t create visuals like that in real life. I read harper’s mags so I know. Emma is lucky to be part of a shoot where she gets to literally represent some of best high fashion designers there is.
And since when do most magazines NOT have photoshopphed pictures. Dan was just in one for details mag and he looked ridiculously photoshopped/airbrushed. This is what these magazines do. Don’t like? tough. get over it.

I think the whole photoshoot looks over the top. Emma is over-acting every photo (as per. usual)and all the flying and effects takes the focus away from the clothing.

I like all of them exept the ph by Philip Treacy. WTF is that on her head?! That dress really is horrid. But all the rest look great. I don’t think she is womanly enough for some of them but she looks alright. But to whoever said it above me I think that it could have been air brushed a bit. And is it just me or is the first pic the same dress she had on the National Moviee Awards? My favourite dress is the last one, the navy blue, form fitting one by Giles Deacon.

Best fashion designers? Who says?? I wouldn’t give two bob for most of this so-called designer stuff, it’s all BULL***T to me, making you feel like you have to be part of this superficial, vacuous world that is “fashion” and if you’re not, you’re worthless.
And there is such a thing as overkill. Yeah we know Emma’s beautiful but give it a rest. Most people can look good if you’ve got a professional photographer and stylist!
Only the rich, famous and beautiful can participate in these sort of events. It’s like, “look you’re not good enough the be part of this world of ours” and Emma’s just helping to reinforce that, look how all the other Harry Potter girls are abused by so many “fans” on here. I have to laugh when they keep saying what a good example she is, well it helps that she’s beautiful, if she weren’t her “good example” wouldn’t mean anything to them!! And all you who love her so much, if you got a intellectual, fullfilling life of your own then you wouldn’t be so wrapped up in her’s. Read a book or study something challenging, other than boys and fashion!!
I’m starting to really dislike this girl, she’s just the sort of fake, fashion-vicim, vacuous girl I hate, just like the rest of them. Give me someone who is real and has some individuality and hasn’t got to be seen at all the high-class events that are going.
Not jealous but fed up with the shallowness that young people are brought up in, this is the future and it’s truely scary and if you ain’t perfect, you should be scared too!!

I liked Emma ’cause she was normal, she was very herself and had her own style. She was beautiful without showing off.
But now she’s a common starlet who doesn’t show any talent, but show expensive dresses. Her blond hair was the first step. She is trying to

actually marina, emma is still normal. In her regular picks where she is out and about, she doesn’t wear any of these expensive clothes. In the RADA class picture, Emma’s top is from Topshop. So I don’t get how she has become a show-off just because she is weraing a dress for 5 min for a photoshoot, taking it off and never wearing it again.

your opinion so you have a right to say it. I disagree with you. This is part of her career that they have to do in order to promote themselves. No actor is going to fore-go a chance to be on a magazine because they get to promote themselves to their fans and potential directors/clients. Majority of actors are have been on magazines (at least one). Actually, her being in magazines is not surprising at all because she is an actress. Why don’t you concentrate on your own career and let her do whatever she needs to as part of her career.
Frankly I love seeing pictures of Emma. If you are not her fan and you are, say Bonnie Wright or Dan Radcliffe or Rupert Grint etc fan then you would love to see he/she on magazines as well. And she has just been to all these designers fashion shows so she may have to promote them, who knows? Again, you are entitled to your own opinion but I have a feeling that she will be appearing in a lot more magazines so maybe you should avoid emma-related posts?

I don’t see Emma appearing in magazines and fashion shows as a surprise at all. She just finished her A-levels and hbp so she is taking a break. Of course all her moves are being photographed because she is famous so that’s not her fault. Maybe if you dislike emma you should not pay attention to her career but your own?

I totally agree with tess. If you are tired of seeing emma, brace yourself, she is determined to step into the fashion world, it has become an interest of hers as she said and she will be going to more fashion shows and there will be paps photographing her.
And Lena, you are entitled to your own opinion but I have to disagree with you about the whole designers/fashion thing. I can’t afford any of these designers pieces because they are absurdly expensive but I love to see their work and I really appreciate fashion. Just because a lot of us can’t afford it does not mean we don’t pick up these magazines and admire their work. Vogue and Harper’s bazaar are bought mainly by middle-class women who can’t buy a $23,000 dress but we appreciate the designs.
And emma is not vapid, she repeats her outfits which shows that she is not superficial. She just loves fashion and therefore she participates in these photoshoots. I can still call her a down-to-earth girl because she wears the expensive clothes in premieres and events. In her regular life Emma can be seen wearing Topshop! For crying out loud you have a very weak argument.

If being in a magazine makes you shallow, then the person reading the magazine who knows nothing about the celebrity but makes judgements is even more shallow. She wears very normal clothes when she goes out, I don’t see any of this expensive, over-the-top fashion on emma when she is caught out with friends. She wore normal clothes to Ibiza, and all other candid, non-event pictures.
I don’t see any support to your argument.

I don’t see why emma isn’t a good example. She is good in school, no drug-related activities, and a humble person. Young kids have a great role model in her that they can look up to. What’s wrong with her work ethic? Juggling full-time work and school? I don’t get you.
It’s people who dislike emma, who will say these things about her but without being biased, if I looked at the whole picture as an objective person, then I would totally say that emma is worthy of being called a role-model. No paris hilton behavior, just good okd studying and working hard. Having $20 million at 18 and being the complete opposite os lindsay lohan is note-worthy.

everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but i am proud of what Emma has accomplished, and i’m shocked that some people here don’t realize that. This girl grew up in front of the media’s eyes, she went to school, and is still schooling. she did well( more like excellent) in her exams. She has accomplished so much. But now that she is taking a break, and relaxing, people are beginning to dislike her. She works hard all the time. She needs a little break right now to do other things. I don’t think this means she is shallow or anything. I mean look at Angelina Jolie, she does all this stuff too, but she does other Charity stuff, helps so many people. When she visits the middle east and stuff, she wears the clothes that the women wear there. is she shallow because she chose a little time off to pose in a high fashion magazine? i really don’t think so. I see what some of you mean. But i think you are not looking at the whole picture. it hasn’t even been a month since emma has been doing these fashion stuff. But she has been schooling and getting good grade, and being an actress, and a “normal” young girl for like 10 years now.Plus she has been going to charity evens, giving, so many things. And just because this year she chose to participate in a fashion week or whatever this stuff is does not mean she has changed as a person. If you guys were given the opportunity to do something different in your life wouldn’t you?( that is this something isn’t illigal, immoral etc). If i could be asked to pose for a Mag. i would. or be asked to go to a fashio show, i would. So i think that’s what Emma did.. And she shows off the dresses well in this Photos. She just needs to come out of her shell a little.

I unfortunately have to say I agree to Lena. I mean I think Emma just has to calm down a bit with attending lots of events and stuff. I mean I know she’s supposedly on a gap year because she said she wanted to attend university when the HP films were over but I think she just needs to do something more constructive with her time, maybe some charity work or something.
However, I would think that the photoshoots aren’t her ideas and she has to go along with them because she wants to get paid.
I don’t dislike Emma but I don’t really like her either and I say this because I don’t know her personally but I think she should just keep her head down for the time being.
And yes I know she’s 18 and should be having a good time with her life but just remember no matter how smart she is, it is still very easy to get pulled into the ‘celebrity’ world and that is not a good thing.

Wow. And I’m sure everyone who loves Bonnie or any other celebrity wouldn’t say crap if they saw THEM in fashion magazines all the time. Emma is an eighteen year old ACTRESS. She is popular all around and now that’s she’s an official adult she WILL be pulled into the limelight more. It happens. She is honored to even be a PART of things like this and if I were her I would be doing the same thing. Everyone else defending Emma is right. She doesn’t dress a thing like that outside of the magazines and you very well know this. I’ve seen PLENTY of stars who dress it outside of the magazines because they get too prissy for themselves. Well Bonnie was at the other fashion shows in London with Katie. Didn’t you see the pics. And as of Dan, what would he be doing atGlamourus hollywood events, he is too booked on equus? but he was at the play( and there were Celebs there), Rupert was playing Golf( there were loads of celebs there). ( all these things they like so i don’t see why they should torture themselves and not go becuase they will be celebs there.

guess what. my sister’s best friend’s cousin, was told by her sister’s best friend that her boyfriend’s best friend meet Emma, and she was a very nice girl. Very Humble, not a diva at all.

don’t like? then leave. As for the “wonderful” and “horrible” type opinions, that one girls encounter means nothing. Loads of other people said complete opposite of what that girls cousin said when she saw emma at the fashion show. Dan is busy with equus and emma is free so ofcourse dan isn’t going to go about. But he is in numerous interviews and such, dan fans know because they can see it all in his official website. As for bonnie wright, no one even knows her other than the hp fans so ofcourse she won’t be invited to anything yet. After hbp that will change. But katie and her are still taking advantage and going to events they are invited to but they aren’t asked to many because they are not as famous as emma.
Sure I may not know whether emma is humble and normal but neither do you. That one girls opinion doesn’t mean much, I have a friend who attended the Giles show and he said emma was really nice when he said hello. To each, their own, yea?

sorry hpfan, bonnie, evana and matt are invisible/non-existent to the media world. They had tiny roles in the hp films and so no one really knows about them and therefore they are not asked to go to photoshoots and events like dan, emma and rupert. That’s why, even if they are out and about, paps won’t take their photos and so we won’t know, because they aren’t famous. I like them though, but people outside the hp world probably don’t even know they exist. and, but maybe they will have larger roles or act outside of hp? Then they can get recognized more.

Bonnie, Evanna and Matt have a long way to go before they start getting noticed because they have to have bigger roles in order to be famous in the industry. to be honest i don’t like those pics….she isn’t herself…she tries to look like a superstar and that shoot looks absolutely fake…horrible…sorry but that’s what i think…and emma just goes to events…she is more in public for going to events…looking not always the best….not for her acting…harry potter is in the background…she’s more famous for wearing designer clothes than for acting!sorry but yes…my opinion

The more high fashion they try to make her look the more unnatural it comes off. She is a naturally beautiful girl but she’s no model. These latest photo shoots look forced, like a little girl wearing her mothers clothes.

Emma is really becoming something of a fashion phenomenon. I am surprised to see her in something other than her favored Chanel, but still she is sporting $4k dresses. She is clearly on her way in the fashion world. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her appearing more and more, giving paid appearances at parties as she comes of age. That’s how the fashion world works. She’s been tapped.
