well, I don´t know how is it with drinking alcohol here (Czech Republic-Europe btw), but anybody can´t sell you alcohol if you are under 18. but go to the every pub or bar and they will sell you. But I don´t care is emma drink, it is her thing, and she´s 17...

im spanish and you need to be 18 if you want to drink in a legal way, but, like everywhere, if you look older you can drink with 16 more or less, it depends on how old you look like.

I think people should just leave her alone. It's her life and we should let her live it the way she wants it. I actually think that she only drinks socially. I mean, she's in a bar so I guess you really can't avoid to drink.

I can't believe she's wearing hotpants. That's kinda slutty. Never really thought of her as a type for hotpants and it doesn't really suit her. Maybe she wanted to look older or something, to get in. Hm, here in Germany you are allowed to drink beer at the age of 16. I'm 16 and turning 17 and I have drunk beer a lot of times and as long as you have friends who are 18 you can get vodka etc.

I wouldn't consider hotpants slutty. And hers aren't even hotpants. They are just particularly short shorts... AND they are denim so really it's just summery. Plus shorts were really big this summer so everone looked like that.

To Emilie, in the UK you are totally illegal to drink ANY alcohol until you are 18. After that, you are allowed to drink whatever alcohol your heart desires.

Red, that is not true. You are allowed to drink alcohol from the age of 5, but not publicly. You are allowed to drink with a meal from the age of 16. I <i>think</i> you can be bought a drink by an over 18 in a pub if you are 17 and then at 18 you are allowed to drink wherever.
