A ceramic egg http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com/index.cfm?id=497192006 ” target=”_blank”>painted by Harry Potter author JK Rowling fetched £2,600 ($4,531) in an auction to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Society in Scotland , of which Ms. Rowling is the patron.
The auction of 18 items helped raise £20,300 ($35,379) and was organized by a charitable company, Make Your Mark, which was formed by seniors at George Heriots School. The event raised almost £30,000 (52,284).

Thanks to the Box Office Mojo via Dustin we now know that
Box Office Mojo is reporting today that the fifth movie in the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will be released on July 13, 2007. This date has yet to be confirmed by Warner Bros., so regard it as a rumor for the time being
AND
Beginning in the Netherlands on April 4, Warner Bros. will offer Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and more than 100 other movies on a legal, download-to-own movie service. Additionally, fans who purchase the fourth Harry Potter movie from 12 AM to 9 AM on April 4 using this service will be eligible to win a portable media player.
“We are excited to be the first studio to deliver secure and legal download-to-own films through the Internet simultaneous with the film’s DVD debut. This agreement provides Warner Bros. with yet another channel to deliver our movies directly to consumers’ homes,” said Kevin Tsujihara, President Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

Update: Emma said that she has just filmed a scene where hermione pushes ron against the wall because he made a sexist comment.

A week after it’s UK release, CBBC Newsround is reporting that the Goblet of Fire DVD is the fastest selling DVD in the UK ever:
“Just under three copies flew off the shelves every second during the first six days of its release. And on the very In total it has now sold 1.4 million copies making it the seventh biggest selling DVD movie of all time according to the Official Charts Company.”
