“British actress EMMA WATSON found filming her new role as a ballerina much harder than working on the HARRY POTTER movies. The 17-year-old, who plays Hermione Granger, is also starring in new British TV series Ballet Shoes and had to take ballet lessons to prepare for the role. She says, “I loved shooting Ballet Shoes, but it’s much harder doing ballet than stunts on Harry Potter as I don’t do most of those myself. “Other people do it for me so I guess I get away with much more. Playing a ballerina is so different, it’s lots of hard work and I’m not really that good.”

I’m not surprised by her comment at all because going from a flirting role in Harry Potter to something such as that, of course it is going to be challenging!

I read the interview, its really good. Emma’s being very modest about how she is at ballet. Then again, I wish that she wouldn’t be. If she’s crap at ballet, the movie’s gonna suck and she’ll get bad reviews. After all, the movie is called “BALLET Shoes”. The character has to be good at ballet. It sounds very hard though. You have to have good balance, you have to wear those pink frilly tu-tus, you have to do all those hard dance steps…I wouldn’t last 1 day in ballet class.

If I remember correctly, Emma plays an actress in the film, though. One of her “sisters” is the ballerina, so I doubt she’ll have as much on-screen time dancing. But I mean, she takes dance lessons; I’m sure she’s got some skill. And I took ballet for six years and never had to wear a tu-tu, lol.
