OOTP Movie and Game Nominated for Children’s BAFTA
Order of the Phoenix has been nominated in three categories for this year’s British Academy Children’s Awards (BAFTA), and they are: Feature Film, Game, and BAFTA Kids’ Vote. BAFTA Kids’ Vote category will be the only category which you will be able to vote for your favor film at this link HERE on November 2nd, and on November 25, the awards show will air on BBC.
It will be such a disappointment if Order of the Phoenix wins the BAFTA Kids’ Vote category because the movie was dreadful!

Finally someone that agrees with me about OOTP. I was kind of surprised that I didn’t like the movie considering that I like the rest of them but the acting was really bad and it was just not good. I also don’t agree that Emma should be winning all of these awards but after all they are nothing but a popularity contest and not something major like an Oscar so no biggie in the long run.

i thought OOTP was the worst of the films.. just because it was so jumpy. my friend had watched it with me and he knew nothing of HP and he was completely lost. i mean other friends in the past have done the same thing but with the other HP movies and could still follow along pretty well. im a fan of Emma’s and im glad for her if she wins awards, but she was barely there in OOTP so you can hardly determine her as best actress from so little scenes.

Meh, I thought OoTP was ok but I’m more a fan of the books. I ain’t bothered by such awards, but it’s good to give little kids a voice too and that’s all it is, bit of harmless fun for the little kids.

You’ve got to be kidding me. OoTP was the BEST Harry Potter. Dan grew so much as an actor and finally did something convincing besides just twitch and have a squeaky voice. Yea so Rupert and Emma weren’t in it as much but the 5th book is mostly about Harry’s independence instead of the friendship anyways. I do wish it was longer, but it was by far the best.

imo, PoA was the best one. OOTP was great for daniel, he was great in it and i know its called Harry Potter and the.. but its like, if the books were focused entirely and only on Harry then i probably wouldnt like them as much as i do right now.

Daniel in my opinion is the absolute worst of the three. He was completely dreadful. Emma improved from Goblet of Fire but her acting in that was so bad there really was no where to go but up. She did good in POA though. The thing I didn’t like about OOTP was that whole end scene with DD and Harry that was supposed to explain the prophecy. In the book that was supposed to be the most important part, that basiacally explained the whole point of the book but the movie doesn’t make it seem important at all. The end battles, and Bellatrix getting out of Azkaban were awesome but the rest moved pretty slow. I liked it in general. Hated GOF.

I love OotP but I must admit it wasn’t the best. PoA is pretty good but it was the most horrible adaptation. It left the most stuff from the book. I love CoS and GoF and I expected more from OotP. More Ginny, less Luna and Umbridge. TBH, Rupert is always the best of the three and Dan has a lot of improvement ever since. But Emma is getting worse. Over acting! Eyebrows and sighs, my Goodness. I want to see some raw acting from her. She should be thankful for award giving bodies thru votes. If not, no chance to win something.

GOF was such a disappointment. OOTP was def better, but the end could’ve def been better. What I found really strange, was the fact that David Yates wanted this movie to be the shortest one.. didn’t really get why, because the book has so many important scenes. Especially the way they cut one of the last scences with Dumbledore and Harry. It’s so important in the book, yet in the movie, it lasts for like, 2 minutes.

Dude OOTP sucked okay. It just sucked. I walked out thinking what the fuck are they ever going to make a good one? The editing was so awful the scene transitions were pathetic. Rupert and Emma were pushed back as freaking sidekicks. And Dumbledore??? “Dont you all have studying to do?”

P.S: Ron & Hermione ARE side characters, the books are about HARRY POTTER, so if you’re obsessed with Rupert & Emma or don’t like the character of Harry or don’t like Dan, I suggest you don’t see the rest of the films, simple as that. And if the film was so bad, why did it make the 2nd highest amount of money of the 5, because it was a film for grown-up, intelligent people.

Making money does not determine how good a movie is. High School Musical was utter garbage yet its practically the highest grossing made for tv movie of all time. Hannah Monatana is a train wreck excuse for show yet she and the show are probably the most popular thing in America at the moment. This really tickles me because the majority of those fans are like 9 year olds who think that she is the best actress on the planet. “Grown up” and “intelligent”?? Doubtful.
I hate when people use money to determine quality. OOTP had its good and bad and I don’t see why people freak out when others express their opinions (as long as they’re doing it in a respectful manner I mean). THey messed up Dumbledore’s entire characterization, played down one of the biggest moments in the film and played up things that didn’t need to be there (what purpose did the Trelawny thing serve? They could have used that time to make the prophecy revelation important). I liked a lot of it but a lot of other things annoyed me to no end. My friend went into the theater about to wet her pants with excitement and then came out acting as if that was the biggest waste of 2 hours in her life. I don’t hate the movie, the only movie I hated in HP was The Goblet of Flaming Crap. I just really think it could have been better.
I don’t think people are stupid becuase they like the movie and I don’t think they are stupid if they don’t. I wish people would once and for all understand and accept that everyone has different tastes.
Dan is the worst of the three in my opinion and nothing you say is really going to change what I think. Sorry.

And I’m not obsessed with Rupert and Emma. Daniel Radcliffe is my favorite actor among the trio. Just the roles they are given should be given the same amount of significance as they are in the books.
