Hope they enjoyed it. I’m going to see this film next week, can’t wait. Anyone who ain’t read the books yet should definitely give them a go.

**Here’s a BALLET SHOES update for you bitches.**

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tv/wk52/feature_balletshoes.shtml

Let me warn you though, you won’t like it coz it praises Emma’s performance. Here’s a snippet:

“Emma’s performance in Ballet Shoes is a revelation,” she comments. “She is maturing rapidly as a young woman and as an actress – her work is sensitive, subtle and intelligent.”

  4. Brity

katie never makes film… she only go the parties… fuck hello kitty

  5. Laura

    ….

  6. mimi

“married old lesbian couple” hahahahahaha love Kathleen

  7. me

katie has the same bag as lilo (well, this violet bag is lilo’s fav.).

  8. SES

I like both these young ladies but I think their outfits are rather unfortunate. However they are young and just having fun.

  9. Pretty

Yes, Katie, milk it for all it’s worth before you go back to the clutches of Oblivion. Or worse, before you end up on Celebrity Big Brother.

  10. yumi

bonnie’s pictures! please ! I don’t want to wait tomorrow!

  11. Cia

Yo are so “funny” ha ha!

Whoever writes these contributions, I hope
Soon he goes from this site !!

  12. WeasleysRox

Ooooh can’t wait for Bonnie pictures. Lmao. If you can upload them sooner. No rush though. lol

  13. Delillo

Yeesh…Katie looks pretty but a little uncomfortable in the pics will Evanna… Evanna looks okay too. But you seem to have spelt her last name wrong. It says “Lunch”. Lol!

  14. Nina

A lot of people call Katie a Hello Kitty what does that mean?

  15. Danz

WOW ….Evanna sure is excited to be next to Katie…seriously the most uncomfortable picture ever…Katie looks like she wants to run away and Evanna is like no you don’t my precious

Can’t wait for the new Bonnie Pictures!!!

  16. ann

lol, love your comments. I’m actually surprised with Katie because she usually wears the right thing, but this time, it’s a no no. And that is Evanna’s self, very Luna.

Wonder why Bonnie can’t come. Busy with filming maybe.

Excited for Bonnie’s pictures even if you thought it is not the best.

Whoa, whoa, LOL AT U ALL! One request at a time!

And, no, Kathleen’s comments themselves don’t keep me coming back. The idiocy here is good for some quick and easy pwnage.

LoL, man, my comment took almost 24hrs to show up!
I agree about the idiocy. Keeps me coming back too.

Let’s take Bess’s comment as an example. She cites an article on the BBC website about a BBC produced film that will air on the BBC, and quotes the writer of the film praising Emma. And this is surprising? HELLO!!!
Now if you read the article, they say they auditioned every blonde actress in Britain, they then held an open audition for anyone to show up. And they still didn’t have their Pauline. Enter Emma.
What are they gonna do? They’ve already auditioned everyone else, Emma was the last resort. And, she’s EMMA WATSON, instant publicity!! They tried to find someone else, they settled for Emma Watson.

The best part? “Insiders also noticed a refreshing lack of vanity – Emma agreed to play one scene with her hair in bright blue curlers. “She looked a complete sight but she just got on with it,” laughs Heidi.”
Wow. What a trooper. Apparently these people have never seen the Disney Channel. Now there’s some kids who are willing to look silly on camera.
The fact they appear to be surprised that she would agree to do it, should tell you something.

  19. Bess

@ LOL AT U ALL, Hello to you too. Nice of you to take the time to read the article lol.

The crew praising Emma on Ballet Shoes do not work for the BBC, they were just commissioned by the Beeb to make this film. Given the Beeb’s recent reputation, very few people who even work for them would plug them.
Also, they never said they auditioned every blonde actress in Britain, numpty, they said in “London” (and in case you’re not British, that ain’t the same thing), and they were probably exaggerating if you’d seen the original press release from back in July/August. What they mean is that OF those they auditioned for that role, none fitted the bill.

Still, they are under no obligation to praise anyone. And if you knew anything about the likes of Victoria Wood who is in this thing, she wouldn’t heap praise on anyone who didn’t deserve it, and being a perfectionist, has been known to refuse to work with people she didn’t think were up to it.

Like any article it does depend on how you choose to read it. Emma fans see positives, Emma haters see negatives (like deciding that the filmakers must have assumed she was going to be difficult to work with - great incentive for them to bring her in the first place, eh?)
Of course her fame is a bonus for them, but given the cast they’re working with, it would’ve been a big gamble to bring in someone they didn’t actually think was good enough for the role, just on her level of fame alone. Besides, the likes of Victoria Wood, Richard Griffiths, Marc Warren and Emilia Fox could sell this thing on their own for us Brits, they didn’t need Emma.
Watson’s got an effin’ long way to go before she’s critically acclaimed but at her age she’s still got time to improve. We all know that that her last couple of HP performances have been well below par. But maybe Ballet Shoes is where she stepped up, maybe it ain’t. I’ll know after I’ve watch the bloody thing on Christmas Day.

  20. AngryAnt

LOL AT U ALL: You’re one the most intelligent people here (by which I mean: at least you can write clearly, if nothing else) that I still completely disagree with. You made a bunch of shit up about that article and Emma on account of your trivial bias. There is nothing anywhere in there to support any of these assumptions. Kudos to Bess for researching a bit/knowing a bit about what she writes about. ;)

I’m keeping this short; writing with a Wii remote is a chore. Too lazy to turn my laptop back on.

  21. FuriousFred

You see, LOL AT U ALL. That’s partially what I mean. You’re the smartest person here (by which I mean: at least you can write clearly, if nothing more) that I completely disagree with. You just made up, on account of your trivial little bias, a bunch of BS about that article and Emma. Nothing in that article points to anything of the sort you allude to. It’s ridiculous.

At least Bess cares to research a bit/knows a bit about what she writes about. ;)

  22. FuriousFred

By the way, I find it hilarious that you refer to other sites as being “circle-jerks” when this site is extremely unkind and bitchy towards dissenters of the majority opinion (in other words, they’re jerks to people who support Emma Watson and/or give the girl a fair shake). Get that shit outta here. I’m sure many of the frequenters of those other sites see things about Emma that don’t cream their pants, but they’re not bitchy and hateful about them. That’s the difference. This applies not only to users, but also the webmasters. Professionalism, you know.

  23. yumi

I don’t think Bonnie is in the picture … are you sure??

  24. Wasabi

Reading all these comments makes my day. I just needed a good laugh today. Emma is a very pretty girl however I don’t feel that she has arrived with her acting talent. She needs a lot more practice in different roles. Her only real experience has been the Harry Potter movies and that is not enough to learn and survive long term in the acting business. Emma mentioned in an interview that the role of Hermione kind of fell on her lap and because of that she wasn’t sure if she wanted to continue acting. Then she did Ballet Shoes and decided she was sure acting was what she wanted to do. Now it’s up to her to pursue it seriously. Unfortunately, after being in a series for so long, the industry will tend to typecast her until she can prove otherwise. It’s a long road for her but if she really wants it she could do it. Dan has really worked hard at shedding the image of HP so that he could be cast in other roles since that’s what he really wants to do. Emma should do the same even if it means starring in small obscure films. Ballet Shoes is a good place to start.

  25. WeasleysRox

Oh please just look get over it. This is a comment box. Not a arguement box. Do it in the forms if you really fell the need. Oh and stop critising Emma. I don’t like her all that much but if you haven’t noticed this is a fan site for her!

  26. wow

    actually this isnt fan site;)

  27. FuriousFred

This is not a fansite. It’s accesible through Emma’s name in various ways because the webmaster is a deceitful broad who wants hits too desperately, and isn’t good enough to get them in traditional ways. This is a place where people who are picky and assuming in a nasty way come to feel special after being told that they act like asses in other sites. Oh, and people who like looking at private pics of the stars come here, too. ;)

  28. LOL AT U ALL

    @Bess
See, now we’re talking. I disagree with a couple of your points, mainly that they were under no obligation to praise anyone. That was my main point. It was a PR puff piece about a BBC production on a BBC website about a film that will be seen on the BBC. They aren’t plugging the BBC, they are plugging the film. Heck, pressoffice is even in the url. Of course they are going to say positive things. It was a press release, not a review.
Your original post made it sound like a third party reviewer was being quoted and it wasn’t.
I must have missed the part about Victoria heaping praise on Emma. The closest I saw was that it was easy to work with her, but the babies were another matter.
I never said the filmmakers thought she would be difficult to work with. I merely pointed out that they seemed to be surprised that she would allow herself to be filmed wearing curlers. How would you interpret the phrase “a refreshing lack of vanity”?
Hermione’s bushy hair hasn’t been seen since Chamber Of Secrets. You’re kidding yourself if you think Emma didn’t have something to do with that. It’s probably the #1 complaint about movie Hermione. And it would be so easy to do.
Your last couple of sentences are what sold me. I agree completely. I know I come across as an Emma hater, but I’m really not. I just don’t think she’s that good of an actress. Certainly not good enough to warrant the type of hero worship she gets. But maybe she will step it up in this role. I hope she does. But being in the U.S. I’ll probably have to take others word for it.
    Thanks for your post.

    @FuriousFred
I didn’t make anything up. I may have interpreted the article differently than you did, but I didn’t make anything up.
As Bess pointed out “Like any article it does depend on how you choose to read it.” She keeps posting like that, she’s gonna make this place a lot less fun to read, lol.
    .

  29. Kathleen

Yeah, that’s exactly what I was gonna say in my next post. They want people to watch the show, not the opposite. So obliviously they are going to give positive reviews.

  30. FuriousFred

No making shit up? Here goes:

“What are they gonna do? They’ve already auditioned everyone else, Emma was the last resort. And, she’s EMMA WATSON, instant publicity!! They tried to find someone else, they settled for Emma Watson.”

“The fact they appear to be surprised that she would agree to do it, should tell you something.”

Come on! Not everything has to be a conspiracy! Like Bess said, they hadn’t found anyone right for the role yet. And “a surprising lack of vanity” could be taken in any number of ways, but considering the context, I would think it obvious that the comment compared Emma to others, not their to their expectation of her.

And, no, this isn’t a review. It’s basically a press release, like you said. There’s no criticism of the film or its acting.

Finally, yes, it does depend on how you choose to read the article, but you’ve obviously got a larger than normal bias to jump to such disparaging conclusions from so little detail.

  31. FuriousFred

Damn it! Isn’t there a way to space paragraphs here?!?

    >_

  32. FuriousFred

I meant “not to their expectation of her”.

  33. LOL AT U ALL

@FF nice try, but you’ve failed to point out how I made anything up.
You did do a bang up job on proving that anything you read can be interpreted in many ways.
Case in point…”And “a surprising lack of vanity” could be taken in any number of ways…” No shit.
As I’ve already mentioned, I don’t hate Emma. I just don’t think she’s a good actor. Believe it or not, I’m not alone in this. See any post about Emma on Mugglenet.

Heidi says “…her work is sensitive, subtle and intelligent.”
Yeah, not the words I’d choose. More like, forced, unnatural, and shrill.

One thing we do agree on, I can’t figure out the spacing in paragraphs either. And it’s pissing me off.

  34. wow

ok so evryone who doesnt like emma is bitch or bastard or whatever? come on ppl wake up! she isnt good actress

  35. FuriousFred

LOL AT U ALL Says: “nice try, but you’ve failed to point out how I made anything up.”

You, by way of your interpretation, jumped to astonishing conclusions, unsupported by anything in the text. That’s what I mean.

“As I’ve already mentioned, I don’t hate Emma. I just don’t think she’s a good actor. Believe it or not, I’m not alone in this.”

You’re not alone on that? No shit. I don’t care what you say — there is more than a dislike of her acting when you immediately jump to the conclusions you came to.

“Heidi says “…her work is sensitive, subtle and intelligent.”
Yeah, not the words I’d choose. More like, forced, unnatural, and shrill.”

Ah, so you’ve seen Ballet Shoes, now?

“One thing we do agree on, I can’t figure out the spacing in paragraphs either. And it’s pissing me off.”

    Yes. Yes, it is.

wow Says: “ok so evryone who doesnt like emma is bitch or bastard or whatever? come on ppl wake up! she isnt good actress”

On this site, the opposite is more accepted (meaning people who like Emma and her acting are bullied). Wake up and quit being a self-righteous, biased ass-muffin.

Fred, you’re boring me. All of my interpretations were supported by the text. As I’ve said, and Bess as well, it’s all in how you interpret it. I didn’t pull this out of my butt, it was based on the article that Bess originally quoted.
And no, I haven’t seen Ballet Shoes. But I have seen the HP movies. And sensitive and subtle are not words I would choose to describe Emma’s portrayal of Hermione. She may in fact give a sensitive and subtle portrayal of Pauline in Ballet Shoes, and as I’ve stated before, I hope she does.
On the other hand, that will only increase my dislike for her destroying the character of Hermione. If she can deliver a sensitive and subtle Pauline, she can take Hermione down a notch or two and not make her seem like she’s constantly on the rag.

  37. FuriousFred

Listen: If you can’t understand what I’m saying, there’s nothing I can do for you. Your assumptions were not at all supported by the text. That’s like me assuming John Lennon’s “Imagine” meant he hated religious people and would have liked to have killed them off. Is it supported by the lyrics? Well, he does ask us to imagine no religion, but my assumption I pulled out of nowhere; indeed, my assumption would have been contrary to the message of that song.

“And no, I haven’t seen Ballet Shoes.”

Ballet Shoes being exactly what they were going on about. You disagreed with their assessment of Emma’s BALLET SHOES performance without having seen it? I know you wouldn’t have an opinion on Ballet Shoes yet (though considering your obvious bias, it’s not hard to predict what it would be), but HP is not what they were discussing.

“But I have seen the HP movies. And sensitive and subtle are not words I would choose to describe Emma’s portrayal of Hermione. She may in fact give a sensitive and subtle portrayal of Pauline in Ballet Shoes, and as I’ve stated before, I hope she does.”

Hmm. I’ll keep an eye on your reaction.

“On the other hand, that will only increase my dislike for her destroying the character of Hermione. If she can deliver a sensitive and subtle Pauline, she can take Hermione down a notch or two and not make her seem like she’s constantly on the rag.”

But she hasn’t destroyed Hermione’s character.
