ACTOR ROBERT PATTINSON JOINS CAST OF TWILIGHT FOR SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT
Los Angeles, CA December 11, 2007 — Summit Entertainment announced today that Robert Pattinson will star as “Edward” in the highly anticipated feature film production TWILIGHT opposite Kristen Stewart. The thriller-romance, based on Stephenie Meyer’s publishing phenomenon, is slated to begin production in February 2008 with Catherine Hardwicke directing a script by Melissa Rosenberg (STEP UP). Karen Rosenfelt (DEVIL WEARS PRADA) and Greg Mooradian will produce along with Mark Morgan via his Maverick Films banner.
TWILIGHT tells the story of 17-year-old Bella Swan (Stewart) who moves to the small town of Forks, Washington to live with her father, and becomes drawn to Edward, a pale, mysterious classmate who seems determined to push her away. But neither can deny the attraction that pulls them together…even when Edward confides that he and his family are vampires.
Bonnie Wright and Evanna Lynch attended The Tales of Beedle the Bard auction in London yesterday. The book was auctioned off for 3.98million dollars and all proceeds will go to the charity, The Children’s Voice. seriously Robert Pattinson as Edward? he’s far from Edward Cullen in terms of looks and acting. i mean he made a passable Cedric. uhh! w/e i’ll get over it and still watch the movies…hopefully he can pull it off.

Also, I’m not a big fan of Robert Pattison(to me, he comes off as a pretty-boy who thinks he’s great), but I’d like to see this.

ECHHH. The casting sounds dreadful! Even worse than Daniel as Harry Potter. I’d always imagined Emily Browning to play Bella and practically ANYONE but Pattinson as Ed. Jeeze. Isn’t Edward supposed to be good-looking?? This guy is far from it.
