New James Bond title sounds like Harry Potter

The next James Bond film, previously known only as Bond 22, now has a title. It will be called Quantum of Solace, after a little known short story published by 007 creator Ian Fleming in 1960. Cynics are already claiming it sounds more like a Harry Potter title than a Bond movie, but actor Daniel Craig said it made sense, referring to how Bond’s heart was broken at the end of Casino Royale.
“When [relationships] go wrong, when there’s nothing left, when the spark has gone, when the fire’s gone out, there’s no quantum of solace,” he told reporters visiting Pinewood Studios. “And at the end of the last movie, Bond has the love of his life taken away from him and he never got that quantum of solace.”
Craig said the new film, which will be released in November 2008, would follow 007 as he goes out “to find the guy who’s responsible”.
Filming at Pinewood began before Christmas and Gemma Arterton (above right), the 21-year-old actress who played the head girl in the recent St Trinian’s film, and who plays an MI6 agent in the Bond film, has already filmed her love scenes with Craig. She said: “I felt so young and inexperienced - but I kissed James Bond!”
Olga Kurylenko (above left), a Ukrainian actress, plays Camille, who may or may not be a secret agent. She is still preparing for her all-action scenes. “I’m doing weapons training and body flight training for aerial scenes and stunt work for fighting.”
French actor Mathieu Amalric, asked where he had drawn inspiration for his portrayal of the villainous Dominic Greene, said his character had “the smile of Tony Blair and the crazy eyes of Nicholas Sarkozy”.
