Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Leaked Script
As most people know I work on the HP films and I have a spoiler. A whole new action sequence has been added which involves the Death-Eaters (including Bellatrix) attacking The Burrow which results in The Burrow catching fire and being destroyed. There is then a fight in the reeds which surround The Burrow.I have received some of the script which includes Quidditch, some of The Burrow fight and Dumbledore and Harry going into a memory. I will type this up sometime during the week and post it on here.

RON
C’mon, Harry. We’ve got a game to
win.
CLOSE UP - QUAFFLE, as it ROCKETS into the AIR…
60 EXT. QUIDDITCH PITCH - DAY
Instantly, Slytherin snatches the Quaffle and rushes en
masse toward Gryffindor’s end, weaving and passing with
wicked skill, culminating in a vicious, slicing shot on
goal. Just when it appears it will clear the hoop, Ron
streaks out of nowhere and sends the Quaffle screaming in
the opposite direction. Ginny pauses on her broom, stunned.
GINNY
What’s gotten into him?
She glances up at Harry, circling high above and he grins.
Just then, Dean streaks by:
DEAN
Ginny! Let’s go!
Instantly, she rolls backwards, jets off and races down her
fellow Chasers. Flying in spread formation, Dean–on the
far wing–starts the Quaffle “up the line” until it lands
in Ginny’s hand. Pitching herself into a wide slide to
avoid a PAIR of WHISTLING BLUDGERS, she leans recklessly
off her broom and whips the Quaffle through the goal
untouched.
As the CROWD SCREAMS, Harry eyes the Gryffindor section,
where Luna’s LION HAT ROARS, Lavender CLAPS for Ron and
Hermione sits with her arms crossed, a look of supreme
annoyance on her face. Harry grins, jets off.
61 INT. GRYFFINDOR COMMOM ROOM - NIGHT
The room teems with students celebrating Gryffindor’s
victory. It feels like Mardi Gras. Or a mosh pit. Or a
riot. And Ron is right smack in the middle of it.
CROWD
Weasley! Weasley! Weasley!
Harry takes his backslaps on the periphery, smiling as he
sips a Butterbeer and enjoys Ron’s turn in the spotlight.
HERMIONE
Ron seems to be enjoying himself.
HARRY
Yep. Apparently it’s his lucky
day.

Here is the fight surrounding The Burrow.
Without hesitation, she races for the reeds.
84 EXT. REEDS (SURROUNDING BURROW) - MOMENTS LATER - NIGHT
Harry careens through the marsh, reeds flashing past, then
spies Bellatrix. She GRINS, looking like a crazed wood
nymph, then flits off, her LAUGHTER mocking him. As he
pursues, FIRE SNAKES through the reeds toward him.
NEW ANGLE
Fred, George, Ron and Arthur fan out, running full-out,
their feet kicking up SPARKS as SHADOWS splinter throughout
the reeds. It’s like chasing ghosts.
NEW ANGLE(S)
Ginny, copper hair gleaming, races through the reeds.
Bellatrix leads Harry on, grinning madly.
Ginny comes dashing to a halt, chest heaving as she peers
into the smoking marsh. A HUGE FIGURE QUIVERS through a
veil of smoke. Ginny’s eyes SHIFT, see Bellatrix racing
forward through the reeds, then SHIFT back as the veil of
smoke evaporates, reveals…Greyback. Bellatrix makes an
ODD, CLICKING noise–like a signal–and Greyback edges
forward, sweeping away the reeds in front of him and
revealing…
…Harry as he pelts forward.
GINNY
No, Harry! It’s a trap!
Harry falters, looking toward Ginny’s voice and spies
Greyback. Bellatrix stops dead, wheels in her tracks and,
seeing Ginny, SHRIEKS with RAGE. Raising her wand, she
fires a BOLT of RED LIGHT which explodes in a SHOWER of
SPARKS around Ginny. Ginny fires back, then wheels away,
flashing through the reeds coming face to face with…
Greyback, sharp teeth glittering.
GREYBACK
Don’t you smell clean.
Just then, a BOLT OF BLUE bursts off Greyback’s back and he
turns, sees Harry standing several yards off. As Greyback
gives chase, Ginny pelts after and we CUT back and forth
between Harry, Ginny and the beast between them, faster and
faster, their BREATHS shortening until…
Greyback rushes into a clearing, panting, glancing about.
Just then, TWIN BOLTS of light blast from opposite sides of
the clearing and Greyback is lifted in the air, slammed to
the ground. As he regains his feet he looks into the reeds
and sees Harry and Ginny, wands poised. He grins…when
Bellatrix’s odd, CLICKING signal carries through the night
once again. Turning away, he exits.
Harry and Ginny slowly step out of the reeds, stare at each
other wordlessly. Then…Ron, Fred, George, Arthur and
Lupin come thrashing into the clearing, stop. All around
them, the reeds SMOKE, the flames dying. Across the marsh,
Bellatrix’s cackle rises briefly on the air–then all is
quiet.
HERMIONE (O.S.)
You’re lucky you weren’t killed.
85 INT. CORRIDOR/HOGWARTS CASTLE - SAME TIME - DAY
Hermione reads the Daily Prophet as she walks alongside
Harry. The HEADLINE is GLOOMY: `MORE DISAPPEARANCES.`
HERMIONE
You have to realize who you are,
Harry.
HARRY
(sharply)
I know who I am, Hermione,
alright?
(frowning)
Sorry.
HERMIONE
So tell me what Arthur said.
HARRY
If Dumbledore’s traveling places,
it’s news to the Ministry. But
get this: that night at Borgin &
Burkes? It seems Draco was
looking at a Vanishing Cabinet.
HERMIONE
What would Draco want with a
Vanishing Cabinet?
HARRY
You tell me.
Hermione frowns, pondering this. Then:
HERMIONE
He looks different, don’t you
think? Draco. Almost…ill.
HARRY
Who could tell the difference?

As Hermione exits, Harry spies Ginny, in an alcove, sitting
by as Dean laughs with SEAMUS. Looking up, she sees Harry,
gives a feeble wave. He waves back. CUT TO:
86 INT. DUMBLEDORE’S OFFICE - NIGHT
HARRY’S FACE PLUNGING INTO WATER, BREAKING THE SURFACE…
87 INT. SLUGHORN’S OFFICE/YEARS PAST - NIGHT
We emerge from the CRACKLING EMBERS of a FIREPLACE. A much
younger–and more smartly dressed–Slughorn probes a dish
of CRYSTALLIZED PINEAPPLE as he holds court before 16-YEAR-
OLD TOM RIDDLE and five other BOYS. The CRYSTAL HOURGLASS
sits on a side table.
TOM RIDDLE
Sir, is it true that Professor
Merrythought is retiring?
Slughorn chuckles, wags a sugar-encrusted finger at Riddle.
SLUGHORN
Now, Tom, I couldn’t tell you if
I knew, could I? I must say,
m’boy, I’d like to know where you
get your informatoion. More
knowledgable than half the staff,
you are.
(as the other boys laugh)
By the way, thank you for the
pineapple–you’re quite right, it
is my favourite–how is it you
knew?
TOM RIDDLE
Intuition.
Riddle smiles but his expression suggests intuition had
nothing to do with it. Slughorn chuckles uneasily.
SLUGHORN
Good gracious, look at the time.
Off you go, boys, or Professor
Dippett will have us all in
detention. Lestrange, Avery,
don’t forget your essays…
As the others file out, Slughorn busies himself with some
papers when–Ping!–he turns, finds Riddle still there,
standing by the crystal hourglass.
SLUGHORN
Look sharp, Tom. You don’t want
to be caught out of bed after
hours…
TOM RIDDLE
I know a secret shortcut or two.
SLUGHORN
Yes, I imagine you do. Something
on your mind, Tom?
TOM RIDDLE
Yes sir. I couldn’t think of
anyone else to go to. The other
Professors, well, they’re not
like you. They
might…misunderstand.
SLUGHORN
Go on.
Riddle slips off the RING on his left hand, begins to roll
it between his fingers. It is set with a BLACK STONE.
TOM RIDDLE
I was in the library the other
night, in the Restricted section,
and I read something rather odd,
about a bit of rare magic, and I
thought perhaps you could
illuminate me…
Suddenly a DENSE FOG engulfs the room and SLUGHORN’S VOICE
twists into an ANGRY SHRIEK:
SLUGHORN
I don’t know anything about such
things and I wouldn’t tell you if
I did! Now get out of here at
once and don’t ever let me catch
you mentioning it again!
The FOG grows thicker and…
88 INT. DUMBLEDORE’S OFFICE - NIGHT
…CAMERA emerges from the swirling Pensieve. Harry blinks,
finds Dumbledore studying him from across the room.
DUMBLEDORE
Confused? I would be surprised if
you weren’t.
It may be a long time since I read HBP, but where in HBP did the Burrow catch on fire and be destroyed? Where and when did that fight sequence take place?

If you read it carefully you can tell like for one Hermione would not call Malfoy “Draco” it would be infact Malfoy also she would not call Mr Weasley ” Arthur” it would also be Mr. Weasley. And JRK makes a big point in the book that the trio does not know what Malfoy is looking for in Borgin& Burkes and JKR has to approve the script so she would not allow all these mistakes to be actually filmed. there are so many things that prove this is fake i would be here for about an hour.

I am not sure what to think of this. My first thought was “Fake”. Hermione calling Mr. Weasley Arthur just didn’t sound right. But then i was rereading the Deathly Hallows for about the millionth time and on page 213 she called Lupin Remus repeatedly. So maybe she would call Mr Weasley Arthur? As for the thing about the Burrow catching fire…i highly doubt that happens. Though there could be s slight chance its an added in thing. It would be cool to see, Especially because its a bigger role for Ginny and her role has been BUTCHERED through the movies. And the Quidditch scene is beleivable. I dont know if i beleive its the actual scene they will have in the movie, but i hope however they do it for the actual movie its similar to this.

As for the scene were the burrow cathes fire, it had also been relealed to be true by David Barron. he said that the scene was added in the middle of the film to ensure that the audience gets the feeling that the world is no longer safe

They just confirmed an alternate scene involving The Burrow to show how unsafe the wizarding world is since the little snippets mentioned in the book wouldn’t translate onto screen well. And this was leaked way BEFORE the confirmation of this Burrow scene… so this seems very true. And honestly, the way the scenes are trimmed, it looks like warner brother’s style. But this exctited me because Ginny is finally getting a bigger role! ugh. Bonnie Wright has been robbed of screen time through the movies. It is true that there is going to be an added scene at the Burrow during Christmas. I have read that there is going to be something about the violence that is going on and that the Burrow is not safe. But I don’t think this is the scene. Some things just do’nt relate to the characters’ actions in the book.

I am a huge book fan, and this script does not match the book at all! I have been extremely disappointed with the last three films because of the numerous , worthy scenes cut from the book. Why are new scenes being added, when scenecs could be used from the book?

This happens all the time; movie companies have many different scripts used JUST to confuse the public. The “Sex and the City” people even filmed different endings just so people couldn’t find out what really happened. It was simply to keep people guessing. I will be surprised if this is actually in the movie…it’s defiantly not in the book.

Maybe I’m totally wrong, but did anyone stop to think that this might be one of Harry’s dreams? I mean, it follows the after-Quidditch party and the next scene is Hermione saying (off screen) “You could have been killed,” something I think she says the next day in regards to some stunt one of the boys pulled during the game the day before. Remember, her contact with them seemed to have ended with the whole Lavender thing and she likely didn’t have time to talk to Harry and Ron much that evening.
If that’s the case (which makes the most sense to me) then I’m not fussed about it at all. It’s a brilliant way to show Harry thinking about/worrying about Ginny and the Weasley family and maybe insinuate that Voldemort is still trying to get Harry’s attention with planted ideas. (Something that isn’t in the book, but would keep the film audience up to date better for the next movie without having to explain too much.)
What ticks me off though is a couple of things: it sounds like thye have eliminated the fact that Harry really DIDN’T use the felix felicis on Ron and that is NOT ON! Harry doesn’t cheat at Quidditch and it’s totally out of his character. Second, Hermione noticing Draco looking ill? Erm - excuse me, she thought Harry was full of crap and obsessed about Malfoy through the whole book - she did not notice any of this - Harry did and she thought he was nuts for it.
*sigh* All I can say is that it’s obvious Steve Kloves is back. He obviously likes Hermione and wants to make her out to be something she isn’t. She’s observant, yes - but she’s also a bossy, know-it-all little witch who isn’t right HALF as much as she thinks she is.
Those are the things that foul up the story!

I hope this is real, i think the chasing scene in the woods is dramatic and scary. Bellatrix and Greyback need extra sceen time! I think Hermione would call Mr. Weasley Arthur, she’s growing up and in the last book she always called Lupin Remus instead of Professer Lupin. However someone made a good point that they they don’t find out about the vanishing cabinet untill the end of the book so…that leads me to beleive that they made a big plot error or this is fake. I hope its not fake though I think Bellatrix rocks!!

He ruined Harry’s relationship with Cho, and he left out sooo much in the Ministry of Magic it pissed me off so much! HBP had better be brilliant or I will have to kick him up the ass! lol

Oh on a final note, I am sooo Happy the twins were included in this movie and in the extra scene! I was sooo afraid they weren’t going to be HPB when i did not see them names on the cast list on several websites. But I am absolutley delighted they are in it. And its about time they got some dramatic scenes instead of always telling jokes. I love Fred and George, but we all know what happens to them in the DH so we need to see some serious acting from them, not just jokes. Hopefully this extra scene will provide that. What do you guys think?

I am really annoyed that Bill, Charlie and Fleur aren’t in the film. How are they going to do the wedding scene properly in DH without having Bill and Fleur get together in HBP.

listen, this is fake. first off screenwriters do not use ellipses. there is no need for suspense in the script it is built through character direction and direct information in the script. for those of you saying that this gentleman is telling the truth becasue he posted some Order scenes before the movie came out let me inform you on a couple of things.
1) If he in fact works on the Harry Potter set and was leaking script knowledge he would be in breach of ever contract that is issued on the set. No set has an open policy on information or media involvement. Most sets are so secretive that not even the score writer or music director are allowed on set. This would result in an incredible lawsuit and a revocation of any union affiliation.
2) He could be in fact an editor or an apprentice. If so, he should watch himself because this can result in his mentor losing their union affiliation.
3) He could also be a pre-screener. Yes, my friends there are thousands of people that see the original cut of movies, before we ever see them. I am not speaking of premiere and early premiere viewings. I am speaking of the origianl edit that is tested on several 100-150 people audiences before it is even premiered in the theatres.
please know that I could be absolutely wrong and this gentleman could be dead on, but if he gets caught, and IMDB is a definite place that he will get caught, he will lose his job, a lot of money, his union affiliation, and could possibly face jail time for fraud. script leaking is not like book leaking. Authors, while they have a way to stop it and a legal team to deal with it, they can’t catch everything. film makers have crews on top of crews that their only jobs are to stop this.

For some odd reason I think this script is real. Yates and Heyman announced there would be an extra scene in the Burrow to portray how dangerious the world is and to prove that even the Burrow isn’t save. This is obviously the extra scene. Apparently this person posted a leaked script for OOTP too and it was correct. However some of the stuff on this website is total crap, like Emma dating all these radom people, total bullshit. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Okay..If the whole burrow seen is real (which i doubt) then it just ruins hte whooe movie. Why would they add in a seen thats not even from the book. im just hoping its not real and that the movie is better then the OOTP. I guess we’ll all just have to wait till november.

ive been reading alot of articles and yeaaa its happening its really odd but cool in a way haha i dont know if this is the exact scrip but its happening in that sort of way because there adding this scene just to tell you that it is not safe anymore for muggels as well which it hasnt been safe for ages haha but jk has givin her blessings to this scene so yeaa thats all i got

after reading this i decided to search around. it turns out this is true. They are adding that extra scene to the movie. Hopefully it will be pretty cool. Im looking forward to seeing it i november. the time is just passing by so slow. I guess i’ll have to be a little patient.

i think davd yates is actually pretty good and he didnt ruin ootp the writer did. it was a different writer then steve kloves thats why it sucked balls. but steve is writing hbp so this one should kick ass. oh and its fake
