Producer Confirms Leaked Script
David Barron, the producer Of The Half-Blood Prince Confirms that the leaked script is infact real, in a interview the Australia’s Herald Sun.

He Said
“We don’t often have things that aren’t in the book,” producer David Barron told The Back Room.”But this was brought in because Jo (Rowling) was able throughout the quite lengthy book to keep dropping little snippets of what was happening in the outside world-there’d be people reading newspapers and talking about how somebody’s parents had been killed or somebody had been withdrawn from school because their parents didn’t think it was safe. And we’re made aware that the Muggle world is also experiencing these disasters, but thinks they are disasters rather than the work of Voldemort. The book is peppered with those moments, but we couldn’t do that quite so easily in the film. So (the extra scene) comes in the middle of the film and it just reminds us the world is no longer a safe place. Even in what would normally be considered the safe haven of the Burrow, nobody’s safe. I think you’ll like it. It’s quite effective.”

So, someone who is UNTRUSTWORTHY enough that they would post a leaked script, AND would divulge what supposedly happening on set (including people’s personal opinions), is someone whose word is to be trusted?
Trusted only by those who want to believe what he says, I’d imagine.
Not only does this reek of shaggy dog turds, it also brings into question why you’d take as gospel the word of someone who has shown themself to be a mole.

I printed a copy out and read through it. I just thought it was ah-mazing. It’s still sad that somebody so untrustworthy would do something. He/She knows there are millions of HP fans who are dying to read the script early. How terrible.

We know that there is an additional scene. We don’t know that the additional scene is the exact one that is in the leaked script.

^ …yet he was the only one to come out and claim the Burrow will be attacked in the Half-Blood Prince movie… and now looky here: A Producer from HBP is confirming that point. Are you in some kind of weird denial or can you not read the news that’s being discussed? How is he full of shit when a producer from Harry Potter backed up what he was saying in the leaked HBP scripts?
You can think he’s wrong in leaking the info or whatever you want. That doesn’t mean anything with regards to what has just been confirmed by the Warner Bros. The Burrow is going to be attacked and Phoenix put that out there weeks and weeks before Producer David Barron confirmed it. You call that “full of shit”? We’ll know more in a week or 2 when the DH director will be officially announced along with more onset HBP interviews from the cast…etc.
I don’t know if you weren’t around, but Phoenix also leaked the entire OOTP movie script over a MONTH before the movie was released last summer. How much more legit can you get?

Nowhere does Phoenix say the crew hates Emma, just that they feel she struggles as an actress. Also, Phoenix apparently posted this in reply to other peoples comments on that forum so it must be thought of in context. He did not attack Emma, in fact its my understanding he does not attack anyone from the cast. He tries to stay unbiased and report facts.
All the Potter kids will need more and varied acting experience to better their abilities.

I think people just hate to admit that Emma is not the best actress. This guy has consistently given legitimate information. He didn’t attack Emma, just said that her acting is not impressing many people. Given her performances in the last few films, I can see why. And come on, the reason she won those awards is because she’s very popular with young people and has a large fan base. I think she seems lovely and is certainly very clever, but I’ve yet to be won over by her acting skills.

And i think she’s taking the place of another girl who would “be” Hermione perfectly, we say “i’m used to one actor in a movie it can’t be replaced” but until she’s not replaced we can’t say she needed to be! (this may be not really clear but i truly think there are gifted young people)

Actually, they can’t be trusted to not reveal info that they shouldn’t. Like everyone else who claims to have “insider” information, Phoenix got called out. But everything he’s posted has turned out to be true.
He’s “UNTRUSTWORTHY” to the HP folks, but for the non-HP people, he seems to be legit. You might not like what he’s doing, but I have a feeling that if the report was more positive towards Emma, you wouldn’t have a problem with it.
To anyone with half a brain, this is old news. Emma’s acting IS rubbish. Unless you’re a fangirl/boy it’s been pretty obvious for a long time. What makes this newsworthy is that it’s the first time we’ve heard anything less than praise for Emma from the HP set.
It’s up to you who you want to believe. The official “WB approved media statement” or the posts of someone who could lose their job for doing what they are doing, and who doesn’t appear to hold a grudge against Emma.
The real question is, who’s gonna write the tell-all book about the behind the scenes shenanigan’s on the HP set? You know it’s coming, my guess is the dude that plays Crabbe.

Let’s suppose for arguments sake that what this guy says s true. It is STILL the OPINION of SOME (his words) crew members that Emma is a rubbush actress. Hundreds and hundreds of people work on the crew of these films. It stands to reason that opinions among that many people will vary. Of course some will think Emma’s rubbish - some will think Dan, Rupert or any of the others are also rubbish.

That’s like saying anyone who thinks Emma’s acting is rubbish is a hater. It’s too simplistic. I don’t think her acting in the last 2 Potter films has been good at all, but I don’t think she’s rubbish either - neither am I a fanboy/girl.
My problem with this guy is that he has shown himself not to be trusted by breaking the confidence and discretion he is supposed to show (if he is who he says he is).
He’s quite happy to leak script information as well as the relationships that go on on set. And all we have to go on are his words. It’s obvious that many people think Emma’s acting is rubbish because as I said, opinions vary - but let me ask you this, do you eally think that David Yates would have said that that guy says he said within earshot of low level crew members?

Also he just happened to confirm there was a scene in the burrow added and it just so happens that the leaked scripted had an added scene in the Burrow,
Also it seem that they probably wanted to keep it secret but then fans read the leaked scripted and got all worried so this was there attept to calm us down
