Lily Allen seeks solace in Rupert Grint
Lily Allen has had a tough time recently, suffering a miscarriage; splitting from her boyfriend; and launching a TV show that no one is watching - but thankfully, she’s found a shoulder to cry on - Harry Potter star Rupert Grint.
The ‘Smile’ singer, 22, has become very friendly with the red-headed actor, best known for playing Ron Weasley in the hit wizard franchise, since splitting from her Chemical Brother boyfriend Ed Simons - and was recently spotted leaving a posh London restaurant with the 19-year-old actor.
A source said: “Lily met Rupert at the Order Of The Phoenix premiere last year where they swapped numbers and have texted each other quite regularly.
“She told him she was a bigger fan of Ron than Harry himself and they hit it off well, although they kept in touch rather than met up at first. After Lily’s split from Ed things changed. Rupert offered Lily a shoulder to cry on and she’s taken it.
“They get on really well and he makes her laugh. Last week they enjoyed a Japanese meal together in North London. Rupert drove Lily to the restaurant in his black Mini and sheltered her from prying eyes.
“She has seen a bit of Ed lately and wanted to have a heart-to-heart with Rupert. They did have a really long and intense talk, but also lots of fun, too.
“Lily got upset when people recognized them so Rupert protected her. She likes that.
“She is still dealing with the terrible start to the year she’s had to face, losing her baby and splitting with Ed, but these two would really work as a couple.”
Rupert has recently been linked to a number of beauties, including 18-year-old British actress Hannah Murray (TV Star on the hit show “Skins”) and Pete Doherty’s ex-girlfriend Katie Lewis, 23, who described him as a “total charmer.”

awww! I think they make a really cute couple. I don’t really judge her. None of you know what she has been going thru and I bet it’s a whole effing much. It’s cool what Rupert is doing. And if they are ment to be than that’s awesome! Just to add to the OP, after they met at the OOTP premiere, they hung out and chatted at the after-party. Then after about 4 weeks or so, they met up again, according to some reports, at V Festival 2007 (Lily was performing and Rupert attended the Fesitival).

Lily Allen is not ready to be in a new serious relationship. I think and hope that Rupert is smart enough to see this, and not use it as a segue to gain her trust and get her to fall in love with him. She is exteremly unstable and i really don’t think they should be dating.
