Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe was simply looking for the mystery Aussie girl who once caught his eye, but now he has two woman claiming to be the girl of his dreams - and one bemused boyfriend.
Because while 20-year-old Cassi McKay might have worked her magic on Hollywood’s boy wizard, Sydney electrician Matt Wesley is taking the new development in his stride.
The 23-year-old, who has been dating Sydney insurance worker McKay for almost three years, was aware that she had met Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe at a function last year.
On Monday, the actor said their brief introduction had made a lasting impression and said he regretted not getting her phone number while he had the chance.
Cassi has since indicated that she would like to meet Radcliffe when she heads overseas next week for a four-month holiday.
While he said he “trusted” his girlfriend, Matt admitted he was less of a Radcliffe fan than she was.
“I haven’t seen any of his movies or read the (Harry Potter) books,” he said.
As for the millionaire film star’s interest in his girlfriend, Matt said: “It doesn’t really worry me if Cassi wants to meet him (while she’s overseas). I trust her.”
As if a protective boyfriend wasn’t enough, a second local beauty emerged today to claim she was the mystery siren who took his heart.
And guess what? Yes, she has a boyfriend, too.
Melbourne saxophonist Savannah Blount, 23, is the woman pictured on Radcliffe’s other arm during a fleeting backstage embrace at the AFI awards in 2006, according to MX newspaper.

Blount said she was charmed by the teen wizard and was happy to go on a date with him if the chance arose during one of her regular UK tours.
“He was quite lovely. He was very charming, very polite,” she said.
“Maybe if I was working over there or touring, you never know.”
While not a Harry Potter fan, Blount is attracted to the $50 million man.
“Handsome? Yes, yes and very short. I’m more for the taller type of guy.
“I’ve got a lovely boyfriend who is quite concerned, no, he thinks it’s funny.
Radcliffe this week said he regretted failing to get the unnamed stunner’s phone number.
“I must have walked around that party for an hour trying to look for this girl like some sad pathetic dweeb, but it would have been so worth it,” he said.

i really wish dan wuld say something about this crap, cuz even if dan was looking for that girl, he probably would have forgotten it by now! he wen to the afi awards about 3 years ago, to be honest i dont even think dan remembers wat that girl looked like, and i doubt this cassie mccay and sevannah blount, r the girl, there not pretty enough! lol
