It is a trilogy.. At the moment. They are huge fans of the books, Robert has even read Midnight Sun to get into character. He acted, as you say, “like he only tried a little bit with the part and portraying of Edward” because he’s /really/ down to earth and probably nervous. This is pretty much the huge starter of his career. The actress who plays Victoria is probably just a filler in the prom scene, that’d be why they have her hair up. She probably won’t even have her face on camera for that scene. They haven’t strayed /that/ far away from the book, considering most of the dialogue is in Bella’s head, which would be very hard to put into a movie.

point taken. I however will have to say that everyone thinks he’s hot, therefore he’s generically good-looking. Just because he’s hot doesn’t mean that you have to fall in love with him, however, regardless of whether he give you a chance or not. It just annoys me how people say he couldn’t answer the question, but I wouldn’t know what to say in all honesty. omg…okay i feel that he is trying really hard to portray edward but he probably isn’t going to get it. I can’t believe I just wasted the last 15 minutes of my life reading all of this, but I am studying to be a journalist and these type of post help me to under the publics mindset a little better when it comes to interviews and peoples reactions…Anyway…Seriously people, do you not anything to do than bash someone you will never meet? And to all you freaks that want to “marry” him, you need serious help. The entire time I was reading these idiotic comments I couldn’t help but wonder what he really thinks about all the girls that claim to be in love with him. If I were him I would seriously be scared…And what’s wrong with not liking kids? Some people just don’t like kids, whether it’s dating someone younger (in age or mind) or having children. Some people realize early on that they are not meant to be parents and that life doesn’t have to revolve around screaming little brats. Now I’m not downing people that want to have children because frankly someone has to have the drive to be parents, but not everyone in the world has that same drive. Some of us would rather focus on other things in our lives and while outsiders would think that is selfish, the people that don’t want kids (like myself) realize it would be more selfish to have kids. Do you realize how many jacked up kids there are because their parents had them and didn’t take care of them? Or how many people have kids because it’s the norm and then end up mentally hurting them because rather than giving their children the proper attention they deserve, they focus on their true passions like their careers. Children are a lot of work and money and if you have an inkling that maybe you don’t want to put the effort forward to produce a healthy child then it is best to not have one. That is all I have to say I guess…well except for the fact that in my experience most guys go for the chick that wont give them the time of day. You ladies need to learn how to play hard to get a little. Guys will walk all over you and unless you hold a little out they will get bored and move onto the next girl.

I totally agree with him and not having children I’m only 19 I never want to have children. It’s not that I don’t like kids but that for my carer I would have to put me first, ( I work in entertainment/ Modeling). So I agree with Robert.
I don’t think we know him well enough at all to know if he is self-absorbed or not. And he may really not like children and that is just being honest. We also don’t know why he doesn’t want to have children. It is just that he doesn’t like them. And I really don’t think anyone should ask him to marry them when they don’t even know him. I do belive he is gorgeous and one thing I absolutely adore about him is that he is musically inclined but just because I think that doesn’t mean I am going to ask him to marry me. He acted, as you say, “like he only tried a little bit with the part and portraying of Edward” because he’s /really/ down to earth and probably nervous. The actress who plays Victoria is probably just a filler in the prom scene, that’d be why they have her hair up. She probably won’t even have her face on camera for that scene.
They haven’t strayed /that/ far away from the book, considering most of the dialogue is in Bella’s head, which would be very hard to put into a movie.

point taken. I however will have to say that everyone thinks he’s hot, therefore he’s generically good-looking. Just because he’s hot doesn’t mean that you have to fall in love with him, however, regardless of whether he give you a chance or not. It just annoys me how people say he couldn’t answer the question, but I wouldn’t know what to say in all honesty. I don’t think any of us would know what to say if 4, 5 people were desperate to msrry us. It would be weird, and I don’t blame him for answering the question less than imperfectly. Also, though he did joke around the matter, you have to see that that was the only way he could deal with such questions.

omg…okay i feel that he is trying really hard to portray edward but he probably isn’t going to get it. (but he still is hot) if you think about it, you image of twilight. edward cullen = perfect. nobody in the world can possibly be absolutely perfect. he might have a bad hair day = not perfect. no person (unless cloned/edited/plastic surgery) can live up to my expectations of edward. but he is a good choice for the part. it was going to be henry cavill (google him). personally i hate the look of henry so i think that rob is a good choice but won’t live up to my expectations. everyone should express their opinions here but stop being so mean to rob lovers.

I can’t believe I just wasted the last 15 minutes of my life reading all of this, but I am studying to be a journalist and these type of post help me to under the publics mindset a little better when it comes to interviews and peoples reactions…Anyway…Seriously people, do you not anything to do than bash someone you will never meet? And to all you freaks that want to “marry” him, you need serious help. The entire time I was reading these idiotic comments I couldn’t help but wonder what he really thinks about all the girls that claim to be in love with him. If I were him I would seriously be scared…And what’s wrong with not liking kids? Some people just don’t like kids, whether it’s dating someone younger (in age or mind) or having children. Some people realize early on that they are not meant to be parents and that life doesn’t have to revolve around screaming little brats. Now I’m not downing people that want to have children because frankly someone has to have the drive to be parents, but not everyone in the world has that same drive. Some of us would rather focus on other things in our lives and while outsiders would think that is selfish, the people that don’t want kids (like myself) realize it would be more selfish to have kids. Do you realize how many jacked up kids there are because their parents had them and didn’t take care of them? Or how many people have kids because it’s the norm and then end up mentally hurting them because rather than giving their children the proper attention they deserve, they focus on their true passions like their careers. Children are a lot of work and money and if you have an inkling that maybe you don’t want to put the effort forward to produce a healthy child then it is best to not have one. That is all I have to say I guess…well except for the fact that in my experience most guys go for the chick that wont give them the time of day. You ladies need to learn how to play hard to get a little. Guys will walk all over you and unless you hold a little out they will get bored and move onto the next girl.

uhh hi you guys,im only 11,and i have read the 3 books so far waiting for my parents to get me the 4th book.i read so fast they were surprised.lol.but im in i.b so they should have expected that.anyway,im totally in love with the characters IN the book.the characters playing the people from the book are just geat actors.if only they really did look like that.my fav characters are bella,edward,jasper,and alice.actually,i like all the characters EXCEPT,rosalie and emmette.but the actors they seem really intresting and i have started to look up to robert pattison.and if he actually feels that way about kids,thats actually rude to say when he knows hes being filmed.in case he doesnt know this,about 99.9% of his fans are actually kids 9-up.and i know that because i hear the little kids in my neighborhood talk about him.and including boys who say hes awsome.and how they loved to be him.i talked to my mom about this,and she thinks i should start a boycott because when us kids pay money to watch the movie,part of that money goes to him so we are paying money to keep him alive.i only wish i could meet him and ask him to tell me what he thinks after i tell him this and ask him if thats true or not that he doesnt like kids.i really wanna take all of the girls side who say it was a joke but not funny.but im starting to think about this boycott thing.please dont be typing mean and judge me just by whats on my mind.please.im only a kid whos idol just said something very offensive.well bye.and dont call me stupid by me saying whats on my mind and asking if you guys think he was serious

I totally agree with him and not having children I’m only 19 I never want to have children. It’s not that I don’t like kids but that for my carer I would have to put me first, ( I work in entertainment/ Modeling). So I agree with Robert.
I don’t think we know him well enough at all to know if he is self-absorbed or not. And he may really not like children and that is just being honest. We also don’t know why he doesn’t want to have children. It is just that he doesn’t like them. And I really don’t think anyone should ask him to marry them when they don’t even know him. I do belive he is gorgeous and one thing I absolutely adore about him is that he is musically inclined but just because I think that doesn’t mean I am going to ask him to marry me. Plus I am married and I am probably closer to his age than most people writing on this board. Being in a marriage I already know it takes a lot of work and do you really want to be with someone that wherever you go they will be judging you also? I mean, think about it. Some of the fame women would absolutely love I am sure… but if fame is what you want the last thing you should do is go hunting down a “hot” actor. Make yourself something. Make a name of yourself and if you are determined enough you will get there without a man.
