I don’t like him for some reason. To me, he looks like some “pretty boy” who thinks he’s the hottest thing to ever hit the planet. It is a trilogy.. At the moment. They are huge fans of the books, Robert has even read Midnight Sun to get into character. He acted, as you say, “like he only tried a little bit with the part and portraying of Edward” because he’s /really/ down to earth and probably nervous. This is pretty much the huge starter of his career.
The actress who plays Victoria is probably just a filler in the prom scene, that’d be why they have her hair up. She probably won’t even have her face on camera for that scene.
They haven’t strayed /that/ far away from the book, considering most of the dialogue is in Bella’s head, which would be very hard to put into a movie.

Well..tht’s wht I thought at first tht he first read it before hand, but he only read it once he had the part. It’s a new interview of him tht just came out a few days ago. He said he never read it when he went in for the audition. So, he just played it how he wanted to. So, he was never a fan. Which pisses me off!!! I hate it when someone gets a part from a book and never reads it before or isn’t a fan. I really don’t know though if he is a fan or not.

point taken. I however will have to say that everyone thinks he’s hot, therefore he’s generically good-looking. Just because he’s hot doesn’t mean that you have to fall in love with him, however, regardless of whether he give you a chance or not. It just annoys me how people say he couldn’t answer the question, but I wouldn’t know what to say in all honesty. I don’t think any of us would know what to say if 4, 5 people were desperate to msrry us. It would be weird, and I don’t blame him for answering the question less than imperfectly. Also, though he did joke around the matter, you have to see that that was the only way he could deal with such questions.

He’s not cocky you guys. This was meant to be a joke. He was just kidding around! I guess I understand his type of humour. And from he recent interviews I’ve realised that he’s SO DEDICATED to his role as Edward. I mean he picks up on these subtle things that are so true and perfect. He is brilliant. Thats all I have to say. I didnt even like him until now.

he’s a freaking hott guy. I’m pretty positive girls didn’t ask him to marry them with a serious intention. and the ones that did were comments left on mtv, which can never really be taken seriously.
and he’s young. i’d say half of all YA males are not concernec with kids. atleast not any college-age guys. their more concerned with themselves or a girl their interested in and they have every right to be, their young, their allowed to be selfish.
