barrt reply on May 11, 2008:
In the UK you start in Pre-school (or Primary school) from 4-11, then you go to secondary school (or high school) from 12-16 then you can either finish with school or go onto college (or upper 6th) which is from 16-18 and then you can carry onto university. Most degrees are 3/4 years, but some are 5 or 6, but these are usually medical degrees.
Hope that helps.

You don’t know the difference between school nd college? :S

Well good for her. She has always wanted that.
All the best of luck to her.

Now did she get in via her grades or cause shes a “celeb” that is the question.

She had really great grades, we all know that. She must have had a stellar interview also. I can’t see how anybody wouldn’t be impressed with her dedication to learning especially since she doesn’t have to. Cambridge would respect that, it adds to her character.

I won’t lie — I’m pretty jealous of the girl. She’s famous, grew up with money, and she’s not ugly. On top of that she’s accepted into a great university. Life is just not fair.

yea….let’s not compare her to Natalie Portman just yet….Nat’s got serious skills.

Unless she’s got an unconditional offer, it will still be subject to the grades she receives in August. Also, you can defer a year, which means if you’re taking a gap year, as she said she would, you apply for the year after.

TALK ABOUT ICANDY FOR ALL YOU GUYS OUTTHER.

Very unlikely she has already been accepted, because she hasnt done her A-levels yet, she probably just applied for a place. However I do think she could get in, she god brilliant GCSE grades and AS Level Grades. As long as she does good in her Alevels, then Im sure she will have a great choice of universities.
