Rupert Grint To Star In new movie “Cherrybomb” (2009)
We told you details would be released soon and we were not lying! Cherrybomb, a dark coming of age drama set for release in the UK and USA in 2009 is the mystery project we’ve been talking about! Written by Daragh Carville (Middletown) and making her directorial debut Lisa Barros D’Sa brings us a storyline that follows two best friends who are looking forward to a summer of fun when a beautiful but troubled girl makes them dangerously compete for her affections. The movie’s content includes drinking, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. Characters are Luke, Malachy and Michelle.
Daragh Carville is multi-award winning playwright and screenwriter and has written critically praised novels.
Rupert just started filming on Monday and the shoot will take place for only about 6 weeks.

The company distributing the film is also behind the new James McAvoy/Helen Mirren film “The Last Station” about the final year of Russian Socialist writer Leo Tolstoy. They seem to back really strong story/character driven movies with real substance.

Kimberly Nixon playing “Michelle” the troubled girl both boys are after.
Kimberly can also be seen in a movie called “Cranford” alongside Dame Judi Dench.

Doesn’t he play an Irish character? Does Rupert have Irish lineage? No matter what I’m looking forward to the accent. He does awesome character acting and the role will be a nice change for him. Good for you Rupe!

This is extremely exciting! Finally, Rupert is free to make another movie. He is talented and each time I see him he gets more handsome. Congragulations Rupert! I totally going to see this movie though it will probably come out in limited release over in the states.

I’m incredibly surprised that he chose this role, I think he’d be amazing.
A hot sex scene is more than likely with this movie. It’s dark and dangerous, his character is getting into dangerous stuff in order to get a girl, it makes sense for him to have a hot sex scene with the girl. But I will be very disappointed if they don’t include a butt shot!

I wonder when Emma will be doing a movie outside HP. I know she did Ballet Shoes but that was made for TV and Tales of Despereux is only her voice. I hope she finds a breakout role soon otherwise she may be typecast. She certainly hasn’t put the same effort in as Dan and Rupert.
