We love it when actors yap when their handlers aren’t around!

Harry Potter himself, actor Daniel Radcliffe, says there’s sex and drug references in the new, upcoming Harry Potter flick.

The mommys and daddys aren’t going to like that, Daniel!

The wizard said in an interview, “There is a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels. We have a couple of what David Yates, the director calls our ‘Trainspotting moments’.”

For those of you who haven’t seen Trainspotting — it’s an edgy, drug-fueld movie about heroin junkies in Scotland.

Not exactly a kids’ film!

Warner Bros. is breaking some new ground. They’ve made a Trainspotting for kids!

  6. you know its not true moony

  7. hell to the no

The HP-films are not for kids, not small kids anyway. They’re from 11.

RUPERTFAN reply on July 5th, 2008:

    11 is a small kid

  8. Lily

It is true. It’s in the new Empire magazine with Daniel Radcliffe on the cover.

RUPERTFAN reply on July 8th, 2008:

just because its in the empire magazine does not mean its true

  9. Momo

    It’s true.

Sexual references and drug parallels=/=sex and drug use.

Whoever wrote the article is just stupid.

  10. lol

haha I like how this is word for word from perez hilton’s site

  11. Emmily

Well if this is really true i´m curious where that part will be in the movie because i didn´t read anything of sex and drugs in the book..

Ender reply on July 6th, 2008:

Not in the hard core explicit way some people are reading it. However:

    1. Sex - Ron and Lavender snog all over the place, and yet they are also looking for hidden places (when they get in the classroom where Harry and Hermione were talking). Also, when Romilda Vane asks Ginny about the tatoo on Harry’s chest, she doesn’t deny having seen his bare chest.

    2. Drugs - Love potions and the likes.

Cor reply on July 6th, 2008:

Yeah I agree. Don’t take it too literally people, and take it
    with a pinch of salt.

They’re probably talking about all the snogging and
about the felix felicitis (& maybe the love potions)
I can see the parellel: if handled well, drugs make you
feel great and give you the feeling that you can do anything, which is
why people take them. In the books, Felix makes you feel confident & invincible etc etc.)

  12. Who the hell cares if there’s sexual references in the new HP? These are hardly kiddie movies anymore, so get with the times, people. For those of you who can’t bear the thought of a little innuendo in your children’s movies, try watching The Lion King or The Little Mermaid again.

Johannes reply on July 7th, 2008:

Haven’t you heard? A person’s sexuality is supposed to hibernate until their 21st birthday and even then we’re supposed to speak of it only in hushed tones in a darkened room — after which, we’re supposed to pray really hard for 3 hours and hope that God forgives us.

    Where have you been?

riah reply on July 10th, 2008:

    gosh, where have u been.pray 2 christ.r u 4 real?

riah reply on July 10th, 2008:

i agree with ender & cor.its not somethin outta comtext, just all the smooching & felix ‘n’ all.but i dont undstand what d stuff,s doin in dan’s mouth>

Johannes reply on July 10th, 2008:

sar’ casm — n. to make statements in such a manner as to imply their opposite meaning, usually done with derision or dismissiveness.

Perez took Dan’s interview totally out on context. Does he annoy anyone else as much as he annoys me? He can dish this stuff out, but when another blog site talked smack about him, he sued them! If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!

I personally wouldn’t mind sex and stuff in these movies, but that’s just me. yeah, im dirty…

RUPERTFAN reply on July 10th, 2008:

who dan? yes he annoys me
