Her onscreen character, the famously uptight Hermione Granger, would almost certainly have disapproved.

But Harry Potter actress Emma Watson proved she is a far freer spirit as she partied at society event Cartier Polo. And there was no shortage of male admirers to help the 18-year-old star enjoy the occasion.

Among them was a fellow actor by the name Roberto Agnillera. Miss Watson invited
the young Italian to join her at the event after they met recently at RADA.

The couple sat in the royal box to watch the 24th Cartier Polo match at Smith’s Lawn in Windsor before retiring to the dance tent.

By the end of the night they were dancing on the podium together, her arm draped around him in a gesture of intimacy.

But he did not monopolise Miss Watson’s attentions.

Francis Boulle, 19, a Franco- Mauritian philosophy student at Edinburgh University, was seated next to her over lunch and was seen swapping phone numbers later in the evening after spending an hour in intense conversation.

He said: ‘She was very sweet and we had a lot in common.’

Also seen deep in conversation with Miss Watson was blond-haired Michael Walker, 18, who is waiting to find out if he has won a place at Cambridge after sitting his A-levels at Eton.

Her affectionate behaviour is unlikely to please her steady boyfriend, 25-year-old financier Jay Barrymore, who is away on holiday.

Miss Watson, who split from her first boyfriend, Tom Ducker, 17, last year, has just completed filming the sixth instalment of Harry Potter.

She has decided to study Shakespeare at RADA, having finished her A-levels.

In Hollywood, it’s tradition to pay more attention and focus on the female rather than the male actors as it tends to produce more hype and controvercy, especially if it involves ‘mystery men’. Emma being talked about by most of the newspapers is centered around her with guys, not Emma having to have just been at the event. We’ve all seen that she mostly makes headlines from being seen with guys and her ‘upskirt’ moments, than the fact that she made an outing, which is the sad truth about most of the media coverage that she gets from specifically newspapers, then again that’s their job and she’s the only well known female celebrity teenager in Britain right now. Some people talked as if they knew her, which gives great sympathy towards her and compassion. Where some gave the impression that every time she hung out with a guy, it classes her as a ‘slut’ and pretty much everything she does out in public, would seem to infuriate them. ALL THOUGH MUST KEEP IN MIND: Emma Watson has always been Emma Watson, long before the whole world knew her name. HERMIONE Granger is a fictional character in the Harry Potter series, novels/films, so try not to mistake the one for the other. She has said she loves acting, but would want a balance, and this would be it, enjoying herself, her life. Is that a crime? Maybe she is a horrible person, a ‘man eater’, a non virgin, who takes no notice of her much awaited fans around the globe, probably smokes, and is a massive diva who cannot act … OR maybe she is a pure girl, shy, great to hang out with, socialise and very intelligent, who aims high and is successful, a great inspiration and role model for young women. BUT we don’t know that, all we can rely on is the media/internet, because there the only main source, our only connections of a sneak peek inside her massive life she is living, outside HP. It is quite sad that we do rely on the media, seeing that they can bring harsh truths or damaging lies, to us the public and fans. But what else is there. She is a celebrity, no matter how big or small, she chooses this life, and she wants to live the other half. Either it be going out for lunch with a friend or having a drink out with a couple of mates at a fancy event. She has the right, does she not? She is human, just like you and me. BUT all in all, if you hate her or love her, it just means that you are interested, because of the REACTION you have given to this ‘comment box’, and you would be lying if you said you didn’t. Because is you didn’t give a stuff, you wouldn’t take notice, and you would log off soon, thinking everyone here is weird. But I’m sure by looking at these photos she was enjoying herself, the event and everyone’s company. It seemed she had a great time. Everyone has a right to his or her opinion, and it is great we have that right in our system, and to be able to express it as we SO please.
