We told you details would be released soon and we were not lying! Cherrybomb, a dark coming of age drama set for release in the UK and USA in 2009 is the mystery project we’ve been talking about! Written by Daragh Carville (Middletown) and making her directorial debut Lisa Barros D’Sa brings us a storyline that follows two best friends who are looking forward to a summer of fun when a beautiful but troubled girl makes them dangerously compete for her affections. The movie’s content includes drinking, drugs, shop-lifting and stealing cars. Characters are Luke, Malachy and Michelle.
Daragh Carville is multi-award winning playwright and screenwriter and has written critically praised novels.
Rupert just started filming on Monday and the shoot will take place for only about 6 weeks.
You may view a link about the movie at IMDB here! Also keep in mind complete details will not be attached just yet since the project is still in beginning stages.
The company distributing the film is also behind the new James McAvoy/Helen Mirren film “The Last Station” about the final year of Russian Socialist writer Leo Tolstoy. They seem to back really strong story/character driven movies with real substance.
Production status: Currently filming.
Robert Michael Sheehan playing best friend “Luke”.

Kimberly Nixon playing “Michelle” the troubled girl both boys are after.

Kimberly can also be seen in a movie called “Cranford” alongside Dame Judi Dench.

Tearful Rupert Grint led mourners at the funeral of Harry Potter actor Robert Knox, stabbed to death in a savage street attack as he tried to protect his brother.
Robert Knox’s heartbroken mother, Sally, led the congregation in opting for colourful clothes instead of the traditional dark hues.
Dressed in a bright pink bolero-style cardigan, matching shoes and a polka dot dress, Mrs Knox had to be supported as the procession arrived for the service.
Many of her teenage son’s friends wore pink shirts and ties after the family specifically asked for the ceremony to be as colourful as possible in his memory.

Robert, 18, from Sidcup, had already recorded his role as teenage wizard Marcus Belby in Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, the new film due out in November.
The ceremony in Eltham, south east London, was taking place just three miles from the bar where he was knifed just days after finishing shooting the film.

A private funeral at the local crematorium was being followed by a memorial service at St John the Evangelist Church in Sidcup.
A tribute-laden cortege led by a grey Rolls Royce made its way from the family home followed by dozens of his close friends and family ahead of the service.
Before it set off, Mrs Knox and Robert’s younger brother Jamie stood close by the hearse with their hands clutched and their heads bowed in sorrow.

A mourner, who did not want to be named, said: ‘Rob would’ve wanted us not to be
sad, but it’s impossible not to be on a day like this.’
His father, Colin, was due to deliver a eulogy at the service and his mother to read out a poem.
The teenager, who had been an actor since the age of 11, completed filming the latest Harry Potter movie five days before his death and had signed to appear in the next film.
He had also appeared in The Bill, the 2004 film King Arthur, and alongside actor Nicholas Lyndhurst last year in BBC sitcom After You’ve Gone.
It is believed he was trying to protect his younger brother Jamie, 17, on the night he was killed.
His death on May 24 brought the total number of teenagers murdered in London this year to 14.

Press Release Issued on Behalf of Rupert Grint’s Representatives
LONDON, April 18 /PRNewswire/ — “In response to articles published this week, Rupert Grint wishes it to be known that he has never met Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton and has not nor would he make any negative comment about them as has been stated. He has also never made any negative comment about Los Angeles. He will be taking action against those parties spreading these falsehoods.”

RUPERT GRINT has cooled on a move to Los Angeles because he can’t be bothered with airhead actresses.
He’s a top lad Rupe, the best actor in the Harry Potter films – and I like the cut of his jib with his latest thoughts on Tinsel Town.
He is worried about investing in a US pad like co-star DANIEL RADCLIFFE because he can’t face bumping into the likes of PARIS HILTON and LINDSAY LOHAN.
Rupert, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizard movies, said: “I met Lindsay last summer and she talked about herself a lot.
“She said she was going to win an Oscar before she turns 25. I just kept thinking, ‘But you can’t act’.”
The young actor is pleased he is yet to cross paths with hotel heirhead Paris, adding: “I haven’t met Paris and don’t want to either. She and Lindsay are the type of girls you need to stay away from.”
Rupe is filming Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince and is having to shoot long kissing scenes with JESSIE CAVE, who plays Lavender Brown.
He revealed: “It took almost a whole day to do. It was hard to concentrate when EMMA WATSON (Hermione Granger, Ron’s other love interest in the film) was glaring at me even though it was part of the scene.
“It felt like she was plotting my death every time Lavender came at me. It was all very intense but a lot of fun too.”
Hard life being a wizard.
